SMRC has a tradition of fielding competitive crews in regional and national competition. Rowing in East Tennessee provides ample opportunity to compete against other clubs; most opportunities are less than a day’s drive away.
In 2008, SMRC Racing Crews will focus on the fall ‘Head Racing’ season, and aim to enter boats in the Secret City Regatta, the Head of the Tennessee, and the Head of the Hooch.
Novice and experienced rowers are invited to row under the SMRC colors, the coached Racing Crew season will be September 8- November 1. Schedules will be determined by the composition of the individual crews.
The fee for SMRC Racing Crews is $150 per program for SMRC members and $300 for non-SMRC participants. This does not include racing or travel expenses, but does cover equipment transportation. Pre-registration is required.
